Area Agencies Step Up for Former Welcome Inn Residents
Quincy area social services agencies are stepping up to lend a helping hand to the nearly 300 people who were displaced by the closing of the Welcome Inn extended stay hotel earlier this week.
The United Way of Adams County reports there are several ways you can help.
You can donate to the United Way’s Quincy Area Partnership for Unmet Needs Disaster Fund. You can drop off a check at the United Way office at 936 Broadway, or you can give online at unitedwayadamsco.org.
The American Red Cross needs volunteers to man their Emergency Communal Shelter at 1016 Vermont in Quincy.
You can donate clothing at the Salvation Army Family Store at 425 Broadway.
Displaced persons can get information on available housing options by calling the United Way Helpline at 217-224-1223.
