We've missed baseball in the Tri-States, but the Gems are back with their 2021 schedule!

When I moved to Quincy almost two years ago, one of the things people kept telling me I'd love is going to Gems games on a Summer night, enjoying the cheap beer prices and amazing food, and they were right! I loved going to Gems games in the summer of 2019, my first summer living in the Tri-States, and was looking forward to the games last year, then the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Well luckily for us the Gems are still here and they took a major step forward towards playing ball games again when they announced their 2021 season schedule today!

The Quincy Gems posted on their Facebook page their 2021 season schedule simply saying "The Boys are Back" to see the post and schedule click here! On their website they talk about the upcoming season, which is scheduled to start May 27th, in Springfield, saying...

"The Gems will face new opponents in 2021. Two former Midwest Leauge teams, the Burlington Bees and the Clinton LumberKings, will join the Prospect League for 2021. The league has also added a franchise in Alton, IL, and Johnstown, PA."

They added that they are still not sure how the 2021 season will look yet with COVID-19 restrictions and they don't have all the answers yet. To read the full statements from the Quincy Gems check out their website by clicking here!

I am so excited that the Gems are coming back and I can't wait to spend many nights at the ball park drinking beers, eating hotdogs and enjoying summer time in the Tri-States!
