Quincy Gems Baseball just posted to their Facebook page and it has me daydreaming in my office of warm weather, cold Miller Lite, overly salted popcorn, and the sun shining on the back of my neck.

According to the Quincy Gems Facebook page, there are only 136 days until the home opening game for the 2022 Quincy Gems baseball season. The Gems season officially starts a couple of days earlier in Burlington, IA on June 1st, 2022, but the official home opener according to their schedule on quincygems.com is on Friday, June 3rd against the Clinton Lumberkings. The Gems have 29 home games scheduled this year from June 3rd through August 6th, and if you want more information on gear, ticket prices, schedules, and more check out their website by clicking here!

If you listen to "Mornings with Mark and Sam" you know I have a deep love for going to Gems games, I was so sad during my second summer living here in 2020 when COVID forced the cancellation of the season, and so excited to be back in the stands rooting on the Gems last year. The games are a blast, the Gempire nights are always fun, really affordable, and have delicious bar deals, along with a great concession stand. I loved being able to throw out the first pitch at a game last year with Sam and a bunch of our KICK-FM listeners there for KICK night at the ballpark, we certainly will be bringing that back again in 2022! If you haven't been to a Gems game you really are missing out on all the summertime fun in the Gem City.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
