Your Guide to the 2026 Quincy Chamber Dogwood Parade
This weekend, the biggest parade in the City of Quincy will be taking place, and everyone is invited.
Parade Route and Start Time
The Dogwood Parade will be held this Saturday, beginning at 9:25 a.m. The route will travel west down Maine Street from 24th Street to 6th Street. This year’s theme is “Celebrating Our Heritage: Educate, Celebrate, and Commemorate.”
Family Fun and Post-Parade Activities
The parade will feature floats, marching bands, local businesses, clowns, animals, and much more. You can view it anywhere along Maine Street, but if you’re looking for the perfect spot, the Friends of the Lorenzo Bull House are hosting a Dogwood Parade watch party.
After the parade, the community is invited to enjoy a full day of free family fun, including amusement rides, a variety of food options, and interactive experiences with The River Eagle Council, Quincy Doggy Paddlers, Just Jump, Homeward Bound Waggin’ Animal Rescue, and a real fire truck from the Quincy Fire Department.
If Mother Nature cooperates and keeps the rain away, the forecast is currently calling for sunny, chilly conditions with a high of 59 degrees.

Watching and even participating in the Dogwood Parade feels like the unofficial kickoff to summer events in the Tri-States. With local concerts, Blues in the District, festivals, and downtown events, it looks like a busy summer of activities ahead for everyone in Quincy, Illinois.
