Adams County Residents Can Help Fight Hunger This Saturday
Where Donations Stay In Adams County
The National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) organizes this nationwide drive every year on the second Saturday in May to help replenish food banks, especially during the spring months.
How The Stamp Out Hunger Drive Works
This Saturday, May 9, residents across Adams County are encouraged to donate what they can by leaving items in their mailboxes for their mail carrier to pick up. Simply place non-perishable food items, such as canned soup, pasta, rice, peanut butter, and other shelf-stable foods, in a sturdy bag by your mailbox before your regular mail delivery.
How To Donate Without A Traditional Mailbox
If you don’t have a traditional mailbox, you can still donate. Leave your bag of donations near where you normally receive your mail, or drop off non-perishable food donations at a nearby USPS post office.
All collected food stays in Adams County to help support local community members in need.

If you’ve been wanting to donate but haven't found the time, this is an easy and meaningful way to give back to people in our community.
