Technically fall 2020 doesn't start until next week on September, 22nd, but it already feels like fall is in the air in parts of the Tri-States. The parts of the Tri-States that have a strong feeling of fall are located West of the Mississippi River, where they are playing high school football. Meanwhile in Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker continues to stand strong against fall sports in Illinois High Schools.

According to an article from the Chicago Sun Times (click here to read the article) Governor Pritzker is not backing down to protesters who want fall sports in Illinois, saying...

"Neither the children nor their parents who would be affected also. We are being careful about it but I’m relying on doctors and researchers to give us the information. This isn’t a political decision. I know that there are people who would like me simply to make a political decision to allow people to endanger themselves.”

The article goes on to mention that all of the states surrounding Illinois have resumed playing high school football, but also goes on to mention that Illinois has the lowest positivity rate for COVID-19 in the Midwest.

I don't know what the right answer is here, but with the return of the BIG 10 playing football starting in October, Here in Illinois the professional football team Chicago Bears, and two of the biggest universities in the state Northwestern and U of I, will be playing football but not the high school kids. What are your thoughts? Do you think Illinois kids should be allowed to play sports right now like they are in the states surrounding Illinois?
