The Adams County Health Department reported the 22nd COVID related death of an Adams County resident, a female in her 80s.

Adams County also set a new daily high for new coronavirus cases Wednesday with 85 new confirmed cases.

They include 43 males age zero to 70s and 42 females age zero to 90s.

The Adams County COVID total now stands at 2,023, with 236 active cases, 43 hospitalized age 30s to 90s, eight in ICU, along with 22 deaths.

The preliminary seven-day positivity rate for cases as a percent of total tested continues to climb, now standing at 13.57%.

 

Along with Adams County’s 85 new COVID cases, there were 37 new confirmed cases elsewhere in western Illinois Wednesday.

The Pike County Health Department reported 26 new lab confirmed cases of coronavirus, 13 males age 10 to 60s and 13 females age 20s to 80s.

That brings the Pike County COVID total to 401, with 116 active, nine hospitalized and seven deaths.

The Brown County Health Department reported 11 new coronavirus cases Wednesday, nine males age 10 to 50s and two females in their 30s.

There have been 117 COVID cases in Brown County, with 32 active and 85 recovered.
