Not Guilty Plea in December Murder in Quincy

A man accused of first degree murder in a December beating death in Quincy enters a not guilty plea to the charges.

Court records show Derek McKenzie entered the plea in Adams County Circuit Court Tuesday. McKenzie waived his right to a preliminary hearing. A jury trial is scheduled for March 14. McKenzie is charged in the death of Billy Graham in an apartment above Izzy’s Bar on December 7.
