We all know that major cities tend to have higher crime rates than small towns, no matter the state. In Missouri, St. Louis and Kansas City often appear on 'most dangerous cities' lists, especially St. Louis, which frequently claims the number one spot. This time, however, the city still made the list but dropped from #1 to #3.

Love Exploring ranked the 15 most dangerous cities in the nation, placing Kansas City at number 9 and St. Louis at number 3. St. Louis has a violent crime rate of 1,445 incidents per 100,000 residents, and property crime remains high at 6,400 per 100,000 people.
