Now here is a real sign of spring. Yesterday marked the beginning of Missouri's catch and keep trout season with nearly 10-thousand anglers casting their lines at four Missouri State Parks with the most notable being Bennett Springs State Park near Lebanon, Missouri. Thousands of foot long trout are stocked by the Missouri Department of Conservation for opening day each year.

Having never been a part of opening day and only seeing pictures of fishermen standing shoulder to shoulder, I must ask the question "How did they not get their lines crossed up?"  (That probably didn't happen with the pandemic and social distancing going on).

These fishermen are also called "anglers". Perhaps they are all "sharp-anglers".  If I were casting, 25 or so guys/gals would all be complaining at me for tying up multiple lines at the same time.

Maybe I should wait a few days and get the leftover trout if there are any.
