Missouri Leans into a Different Chocolate for Halloween
While many are stocking up on Halloween candy to give out, and some to keep for themselves (you know who you are), a growing number of people in Missouri are skipping the traditional Halloween go-tos for something more unique.
If you Trick-or-Treat in Missouri you may find a new sweet favorite in your haul.
Traditional fun-sized chocolate is still popular in Missouri like Snickers, M&M’s, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Milky Way, and Tootsie Rolls. You will still find a lot of these during trick or treating, but in the Show-me state this year the treat has a trick.
Choceur dark chocolate from Aldi's is also available at Amazon
Missourians are increasingly seeking out Choceur Dark Chocolate. The name makes it sound posh, but Choceur is a brand made for and distributed by Aldi grocery stores. To be honest I’ve never had it. It’s a Belgian-style dark Chocolate with a French sounding. or maybe it's a German name. I believe it’s pronounced “Sho-cur”. There are other states that are seeking this specific chocolate out too like Minnesota and Wisconsin. It’s not just Missouri.

Yes, Choceur makes mini versions (fun size) bars available for purchase in bags for Halloween. So, if you haven’t gotten any to give out, look for it in your kid’s haul of candy at the end of the month. Of course, you could always get yourself a full-sized bar to try, and then decide if you want to have a bag of minis to give out or keep for your own personal stash.
