Along I-70 west from St. Louis and St. Charles County, and on Missouri 61 north of St. Charles County saw the biggest gains in Missouri.
Then around the Springfield area with Christian, Webster and Wright counties gaining numbers it’s clear St. Louis metro and Springfield still have drawing power. While the population of St. Louis itself went down again (this time by over 7 percent), Greene County which contains Springfield didn’t see a dip. Green County saw a 3% increase itself.
