Missouri Beef Packing Plant Ready to Open
These days stories about businesses closing and jobs being lost are all too common. When the opposite happens, it’s worth noting and celebrating.
In Warren County along I-70 America’s Heartland Packing is poised to start processing over 2000 head of cattle per day.
Situated between Wright City and Foristell, the plant has been a long time in coming together. Ground was broken in 2022, but it is now fully staffed with some 1,300 employees.

The $800 million dollar facility has all the bells and whistles and is state of the meat packing art. One of the features of the new plant is a new wastewater treatment facility nearby in Wright City that can process six times the waste water of the previous lagoon system.
Cattle producers in Missouri can deal directly with America’s Heartland Packing if they would like to sell cattle, but AHP will also be traveling around to various sale barns to buy cattle too.
