St. Peter's Parish Picnic is coming up on Saturday, August 29 in Quincy, and will feature live music from Madd Hoss Jackson.

The event will begin at 5:00 p.m. at St. Peters Church and School, just east of 24th and Maine in Quincy, next to Madison Park. There will be plenty of good food to enjoy including pulled pork, brats and funnel cake fries. Soda, beer and wine will also be available.

There will also be many games for the kids, a silent auction and 50/50 drawings. $4500 in cash will be awarded through the drawings, with a top prize of $2000. Silent auction items include St. Louis Blues tickets, a Branson getaway and a 32 inch flat screen tv.

Madd Hoss Jackson will play from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 am. on the athletic field behind the building. The band has recently added two new members and are now a five piece band. Ed Burell plays fiddle and guitar and Chris Ratcliff plays guitar and does vocals. The two new members join singer and guitar player Matt Bullard, bassist and keyboard player Mark Behymer and drummer Jim Jennings. Jennings says the transformation of the band into a five piece ensemble will help Madd Hoss Jackson sound better than ever.

The event is free to the public to attend.
