There is a new pavilion on the north side of the Lewis County Fairgrounds. Something that has been needed for a while. The only drawback is that it is still being paid for. That's where the Friends of the Northside fundraiser comes in.

Saturday January 11 at the Caldwell Building, about 1 1/2 miles from Canton on Highway 16. The festivities start with a Cornhole Tournament. Registration at 3:00, game play starts at 3:30. Pre-registration is recommended by calling Jill Putnam at 341-8509 (area code 660).

Madd Hoss Jackson starts playing at 8:30.

Food available (Ribeyes and snacks) from Bob Childress. "Adult beverages" will also be available. No outside alcohol or coolers will be allowed. Must be 21 or older to enter.

Because they want you to be safe, reduced room rates will be available at Canton Centerstone Inn. Plus transportation will be available from the hotel to the Caldwell building all night, courtesy of RAD's Shuttle Service (please tip your driver).

Admission to the event is $8 per person or $15 per couple. Bring a canned food item for a food drive for the Lewis County Food Pantry and receive $1 off admission.
