Light the Park returns to Quincy's Washington Park on Saturday, November 25th. This annual tradition is the perfect way to kick off the Christmas Season with the entire family. What can you expect from the 2023 version of Light the Park? On the event's Facebook page, they say...

"The free event, presented by Southern Airways Express and Craig Industries, is scheduled for Saturday, November 25 at 6 p.m. in the park...Enjoy cookies and hot chocolate thanks to Kohl Wholesale, or food and drink for purchase from CCs Coffee Bar and Big Bros BBQ...the Quincy Concert Band plays in the gazebo. Dancers from the Vancil Performing Arts Center will lead the way as Santa arrives on his new sleigh. The band will play at 5:30 p.m. and Santa will arrive a bit after 6."

The event page goes on to mention that you can bring a book to donate to the Friends of the Quincy Public Library and be entered to win round-trip tickets from Southern Airways Express. They also mention there will be selfie stations, character cut-outs, a snow globe, and a sock skating rink with the Quincy Children's Museum.
