Illinois City Roads Full of Some of the Biggest Road Ragers in USA
My oldest son moved to Dallas, Texas a few years ago. He’s assured me that after commuting daily in DFW that: A. Road Rage is a sport in Texas (and you can witness it every day). And B. It’s bad enough there that it affects his car insurance, just because he’s surrounded by it.
He might be stunned though to find out that Dallas isn’t the top road raging city in Texas. That spot goes to Houston. Dallas even comes in behind Austin in the Lone Star state. Also in front of Dallas nationally for road rage? Chicago, Illinois.
Per the newest road rage stats Chicago places third nationally for road rage, only behind Houston (#1) and Los Angeles (#2). Angel Reyes and Associates compiled the data and broke everything down into scores per category including: Commute time, Reckless driving, shooting (?!?), inefficiency, dissatisfaction and wasted time. I-55 in Chicago is known for potential road rage in the area.

You may have driven in Houston, L.A., Chicago, or Dallas too. May have witnessed road rage there or in other cities. Road rage isn’t limited to particular states or cities. It can happen anywhere, the circumstances just have to converge (if not vehicles). There is even a YouTube page called Dashcam Lessons that has featured Illinois incidents (not all in Chicago).
