I learned last night that Hannibal has an incredible history, beyond Mark Twain.

The Haunted Hannibal Ghost Tour, led by Hannibal historian/author Lisa Marks, took us past some of the haunted buildings in Hannibal, including the Hannibal Public Library, the Old Jail, LaBinnah Bistro, the old Catholic church, next to the bowling alley, and through Millionaire's Row on 5th Street.

We learned about the murder of Amos Stillwell, who was once Marion County's wealthiest man. The tour also included a tour of the Old Baptist Cemetery where we actually searched for ghosts. I did not find any.

My son had a blast. He's a big fan of shows like 'Ghost Hunters', so he really enjoyed the tour. My wife enjoyed the tour, as well. To enhance the experience, she installed the 'Ghost Radar' app on her phone.
