A Hannibal man is in custody in the Marion County Jail following a weekend standoff. Hannibal Police were called to 2420 Chestnut at 1:58 Saturday morning. Police reports indicate 27-year-old Raymond York pointed a long gun at officers and then barricaded himself in the house with other individuals. York later left the residence and indicated he wanted the officers to harm him. York was taken into custody a half hour after the initial call to police. The investigation found the long gun was actually a pellet gun. York is charged with second degree assault on a law enforcement officer. He is held on 50-thousand dollaras cash only bond.
