Hannibal BPW Designated Reliable Electric Provider
The Hannibal Board of Public Works has received national recognition as a reliable electric provider.
In a press release, officials announced that HBPW has earned a Reliable Public Power Provider designation from the American Public Power Association.
The RP-3 designation recognizes public power utilities that demonstrate proficiency in reliability, safety, workforce development and system improvement.
Criteria include sound business practices and a commitment to safe and reliable delivery of electricity.
About 275 utilities nationwide hold the RP-3 designation.
