7 Must-See Fall Events in the Tri-States This Year
This cooler weather has me excited for the upcoming fall season, just a few weeks away. Fall colors, Friday night lights, parades, and all the great fall events in the Tri-States are right around the corner.
I know it’s still a little early, but thinking about all the upcoming fall fun always gets me in the spirit. So grab your calendar and mark down these fall events you won’t want to miss!
Harvest Hootenanny
In Hannibal at Riverfront Park, you’ll find beer gardens, food trucks, and a variety of vendors. This two-day event will feature live music both days, plus family-friendly fun with a petting zoo, bounce houses, and a YMCA pumpkin painting activity.
Big River Steampunk Festival
Coming up sooner than you think, Labor Day Weekend, August 29th through September 1st, in Downtown Hannibal. Vendors, live music, and incredible costumes will fill the streets. For 11 years, this one-of-a-kind fall festival has continued to grow, drawing visitors from all over.
Quincy Rotary Oktoberfest
Taking place at Dick's Brothers Brewing on September 27th from Noon until 10 pm. This is a free admission event that is open to the public. There will be dancing and live music, and the traditional 0.2k races. You will also have a chance to tour the tunnels and caves of the brewery.
Woodland Cemetery Tours
The Woodland Cemetery Tours are walking tours through Woodland Cemetery that take place every Friday in October, as well as on Halloween night. Tickets are needed for these tours.
Early Tin Dusters Car Show
Come see these gorgeous Tin Dusters line up along Downtown Main Street in Quincy on October 18th. Step back in time and check out how these classic vintage cars have been brought back to life. All weekend long, the streets of Quincy will be filled with these amazing rides.
QHS Octoberfest
Marching and field bands from all over will kick things off with a parade down Main Street, ending at Flinn Stadium for the ultimate field show competition. This year’s Oktoberfest will take place on Saturday, October 18th.
49th Annual Hannibal Folklike Festival
Scheduled for the weekend of October 18th and 19th in Downtown Hannibal, this is one of my favorite festivals. With homemade chicken noodle soup, caramel apples, live music, and so many unique vendors, the event celebrates local artists and everything we love about fall.
