According to several Facebook post, the restaurant will be closing their doors for good.

There has structural damage to the building (located at 18th & State), and the owners were forced to close the doors for now. There is no word on what structural damage there is.

Elder's has been a long standing Quincy tradition since 1970, family owned, and loved by many. They have never moved from their current location, and have been at their at 18th & State since they opened their doors.

Known for their fried chicken (my favorite) and onions rings, Elder's was a true mom and pop restaurant that was always busy when I drove by. I will sure miss them, but hopefully whatever is damage can be fixed, and they will soon be opened again.
