Country Stars Who Have Had Babies in 2017 [PICTURES]
It would be accurate to call 2017 the year of the country music baby boom. This year, country stars have been busy bringing new music and new life into the world.
A number of country artists have become parents for the first time in 2017, including Shay Mooney of Dan + Shay, who welcomed baby boy Asher James in January, and Mo Pitney, whose daughter Evelyne Nadine arrived a month early! The Cadillac Three frontman Jaren Johnston welcomed his first son in April, and quite a few others -- Josh Abbott and George Birge of Waterloo Revival, for example -- are first-time fathers as well.
Of course, not everyone welcoming a new addition to the family in 2017 is a first-time parent: Singer-songwriter Erik Dylan and High Valley's Curtis Rempel both had their second children this year; Holly Williams and Randy Rogers each welcomed a third child; and Zac Brown Band's Jimmy De Martini said hello to Baby No. 4!
Country stars have been adopting, too, in 2017: Little Big Town's Kimberly Schlapman began the year by welcoming her second daughter, Dolly Grace, through domestic adoption, while Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren brought home their daughter Willa from Uganda, Africa, in mid-May. Of course, Rhett will had to do double duty when his second daughter, Ada James, arrived in August.
Justin Moore, Ashley Monroe, Lee Brice, Clay Walker and Jason Aldean were just a few of the other country stars who were expecting in 2017. Flip through the photo gallery above to learn all about this year's new additions to the country music family!
