The District has just posted on their Facebook page the information on the return of LIVE in person Blues in The District to its home in Quincy's beautiful downtown Washington Park. To see their full post on their Facebook page click here, in the post they say...

"This summer will be the 24th season of the Blues in the District Concert Series presented by Blessing Health System. The concerts are held in Washington Park 5:30pm – 9:30pm and are free to the public. Kicking off this year’s season on June 11 will be Johnny Burgin, June 25 QFEST Weekend Mississippi Heat, July 9 Kent Burnside, July 23 Downriver Dan, August 13 The Flood Brothers and August 27 Avey Grouws Band."

The other part of this announcement that is really exciting beyond the schedule, and the artists playing this year, is the information regarding all the kids activities during this summers Blues in The District events. They say that during each Blues in The District there will be a big "Blessing Blues Tent" located at the southwest corner of Washington Park, and inside of that tent there will be activities for kids to do from 5:30pm to 8:30pm and Blessing has teamed up with The Quincy Art Center, and the Quincy Children's Museum for some of these activities!

What an exciting time here in the Tri-States, we have all been through so much in the past year, and it is really exciting to see the return of these big fantastic events for us all to get out and enjoy!
