If you're a small pet owner, you know that coyotes are not good news for your animals. With that in mind, beware as a coyote was recently seen running around Quincy.

Jennifer Bock-Nelson was kind enough to share these pics with us of a coyote she spotted near 24th and Hampshire in Quincy.

As the Humane Society mentions, coyotes are bad news for small pets and can also be a threat to small children. Human attacks are rare, but the fact that coyotes can carry diseases like rabies make them an even bigger threat. They recommend not having your animals chained outside when you know there's a possibility that coyotes are nearby. Keeping pet food and water inside is also recommended.

Thanks to Jennifer for the picture shares. It's good to keep an eye out for wild animals like this. No word yet if a roadrunner was also seen on Hampshire Street. If you're missing any ACME rockets, let us know.
