There's a wide range of activities and fun a family can have in the fall in Missouri, and while these are just a few activities and festivals to attend there is so much to discover.

Apple picking, fall hikes, wine tasting, festivals what's not to love when if comes to fall in the Show-Me State. However, if you need some ideas on what to check out this fall these are some family-friendly activities (minus the wine tasting) for everyone to take advantage of.

Apple Picking

I used to love this as a kid. Going to a farm and picking your apples., I mean how cool is that? There are several places to explore when it comes to apple picking in the Show-Me State.

Fall Hikes in State Parks

Whether it's the mountains at the Lake of the Ozarks or Mark Twain National Forest there is something about taking in the colors of fall on a hike. Even I (who hates everything outdoors) enjoy taking a fall hike and admiring all of the colors.

Exploring Haunted Attractions

This may not be for the little kiddos, but learning about haunted houses, cemeteries, or towns could be a fun day (or night) activity. Hannibal does an amazing job with their haunting tours, but there are others that you can explore.

No matter what you decide there is plenty to do in the fall. It's just a matter of what you can all fit in before Old Man Winter comes.
