Literature, or "books," as they're known in some circles, is a wondrous thing. Many of our finest films are based on classic novels. From Die Hard to Fast Times At Ridgemont High to Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, books have served as an important jumping off point for many a cinema classic. So it's not surprising the local movie theatre, B&B Theatres in Hannibal, would like to celebrate and encourage the young ones to read with a quick reading program that rewards the kids during the opening weekend of Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween. That one's inspired by books, but not directly adapted from any one novel.

According to this B&B Theatres Facebook post, swing by the theatre and pick up the reading list form. Fill it out with the books you read between now and the weekend of October 11th-14th (Thursday through Sunday), and you get a free kids pack of concessions. No purchase required, but hey, you're there, might was well go see Goosebumps 2. The first one was solid, and the sequel looks good, too. Y

What's more, if you list the kid's school, the school with the most entries wins a popcorn party! You can even print off the form if you can't make it to the theatre.

It can be any book, but since they're tying it into Goosebumps 2, might as well read some Goosebumps. My top three favorites were "Welcome To Dead House," "Deep Trouble," and "The Werewolf of Fever Swamp."
