I love the B&B Theatre in Hannibal, and the company as a whole, for their Retro Nights. It gives me the chance to see classics and beloved favorites on the big screen, just as the gods intended, as opposed to just on my TV at home. There really is something special about catching the movies on the big screen. This Halloween they've got a pair of terrifically scary films to put you in the holiday spirit.

On Tuesday, October 16th, they'll feature the original ghost with the most, Beetlejuice himself. Starring Michael Keaton, Geena Davis, Alec Baldwin, Winona Ryder and a stable of funny supporting actors, this is the perfect time to catch this Tim Burton classic. Later in the month, they'll show last year's remake of IT, starring Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise the Clown. I thought the film was fantastic, and an instant classic. This will be a good refresher for the sequel due out next year.

These theatre specific re-releases, followed by news of the nationwide re-releases of the original 1978 Halloween and the original 1968 Night of the Living Dead means this will be a really great year to catch some scary movies in theatres.

And put it on your calendar, in November they'll show The Neverending Story, and in December they'll have A Christmas Story, Polar Express and Christmas Vacation leading up to Christmas.
