You will not be traveling anywhere in Missouri if you are traveling based solely on a list of the top places to visit in the US from a big-time travel website. What places made the list, and would you replace any of those places with a place from Missouri?

The travel website Tripsavy.com, released a list called the Top 12 Places to Visit in the US and the list completely leaves off the Show-Me State of Missouri. So what makes the list?

The list starts with New York City, followed by Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington D.C, Las Vegas, San Francisco, New Orleans, Asheville (North Carolina), Hawaii, Grand Canyon, Florida, and Big Sur (California)

Now...in fairness to Missouri, MOST of the United States was not featured on this list...However, I believe you can make the case that visiting Missouri as a whole could be on this list.

If I was making the case for visiting Missouri over say...Asheville...I would say, you have the BBQ of Kansas City, the entertainment (and beer) of St. Louis, the best boating/summer destination in the Midwest with the Lake of the Ozarks, and finally, I would add the family fun entertainment of Branson.

Is that enough to put Missouri on the list of the top 12 places to visit in the US? I don't know. But I will say that I would rather do all of that in a week in Missouri compared to a week in San Francisco, but maybe that's just me...Do you think Missouri belongs on the list?
