For those of you who enjoy fishing in the fall, it seems there’s only one Missouri lake that stands out as both a hot spot for anglers and an affordable destination.

Missouri Lake Every Angler Should Visit This Fall

I’m not exactly a nature person, but I’ve gone fishing a few times in my life—and I have to admit, I enjoyed it. I’m not into high-end fishing poles or tournaments (those can get pretty pricey), but I do know a few people who live by the “fish-for-life” motto. Well, according to Travel + Leisure, there’s one Missouri lake that not only offers great fishing but is also budget-friendly.

That place is Branson, Missouri. It’s ranked as the most affordable fall lake destination in the country, with an average five-day trip costing just $231. Surprisingly, the Lake of the Ozarks, despite its popularity, doesn’t even crack the top ten when it comes to affordable fishing getaways.

Lakes That Make Branson a Budget-Friendly Getaway

Branson is surrounded by three lakes: Table Rock, Taneycomo, and Bull Shoals. All three offer fishing, boating, swimming, and cruises at prices that won’t break the bank.

With money being tight for many families, or even for those just looking for a short getaway, it’s reassuring to know that there are still places making it possible to enjoy some time off without spending a fortune.

Personally, I’d love to rent a boat and spend the day fishing, but I’d definitely need someone with me to take the fish off the hook. A girl has her limits.
