American culture is intertwined with cars, especially outside the northeast coast. We love our cars. Often we see them as an extension of ourselves. So why not have that extend out onto the waters too?

Behold the Exotic Car Ski! Imagine exotic sports cars that look like Ferraris, Porsches, Konigseggs, Bugattis, Minis, Bentleys, Corvettes, Lamborghinis or even Mercedes SUVs or classic roadsters that can roar out onto the lakes that are peppered across the Show-Me state.

They aren’t sports cars, or cars at all. They are modified big jet skis. Instead of the jet ski being a water style motor cycle the car ski uses the same tech but in a larger craft.

It’s not hard to imagine the Jet Cars zipping all along the Lake of the Ozarks, Lake Taneycomo, Stockton Lake, Truman Lake, Table Rock Lake or even smaller bodies of water like Lake St. Louis, Lake Jacomo or Smithville Lake. More daring individuals may eventually put in along the Missouri river or wider areas of the Mississippi river.

Many Missouri lakes and loads of shoreline await marinas full of jetcars

I haven’t found any dealers or even rentals in Missouri yet, but I can’t imagine it will take too long for one to pop up in Osage Beach, Springfield, St. Louis or Kansas City. There are currently a few different companies that make the JetCars: Watersportscars, Waterboatcar and JetGang Watersports. Be on the lookout on Missouri waters. You’re not hallucinating. They look like cars speeding across the water.
