A county enters a warning level when two or more COVID risk factors that measure the amount of coronavirus increase.

Adams, along with LaSalle, Peoria and Randolph counties, saw outbreaks associated with business and risky behavior.

For Adams County, risk factors include larger social gatherings, health care exposure, travel to hotspots including those in Missouri and Iowa, places of worship and youth sports.

There were a dozen new COVID cases in Adams County announced Thursday, with the total number of cases nearing 300.
