I know it is August of 2021, and school is starting in just a couple weeks, BUT it is still Summer and so if you're looking to take an epic journey back in time for your summer vacation, then you should check out the incredible Meramec Caverns in Stanton, Missouri.

According to onlyinyourstate.com the Meramec Caverns are a unique travel destination in the state of Missouri, located only a little over 2 hours south of Hannibal, Missouri. The caverns were discovered hundreds of years ago, and have the ability to transport visitors back millions of years in the past. On the website they say...

"Today, it's a must visit for Missourians and travelers to the area. Join a guided tour that lasts just under 1.5 hours and spans approximately 1 1/4 of a mile...You'll get a close-up look at the seven-story cave, including the Wine Table. Billed as the "world's rarest cave structure," the Wine Table formed underwater millions of years ago."
