Fall means pumpkin patches, apple cider, late night campfires, s'mores, and the return of ALL of our favorite events! Fall is always a very busy time for Quincy and Hannibal because there are several events already lined up and ready to go.

Here are just a few fall-themed ideas for 2018:

1) Rotary Oktoberfest

October 13 from noon until 10:00 pm. The FREE Rotary Oktoberfest will take place outside of the Dick's Brothers Brewery and feature brewery tours, live music, beer tastings, and the ever-popular 0.2K Beer & Brat Dash (200 meter dash while drinking a beer and scarfing a brat).

2) Hannibal Jaycees Haunted House

Once again, The Hannibal Jaycees Haunted House is bringing the scary this Halloween season. Since I HATE everything scary, I'm probably gonna pass on this haunted house, but if you think you have what it takes, this year's theme might be the best yet.  Warehouse of Nightmares will be open Fridays and Saturdays in October from 7:30 pm until midnight.

3) Pumpkin Patches

Pumpkin patches are my family's favorite thing to do in fall, and there are so many to choose from in the Tri-States. Autumn Moon Family Farm in Mendon, Mill Creek Farm in Quincy, Seneczko Pumpkin Patch in Golden IL, and many many more.

4) Hannibal Folklife Festival

The folklife festival in Hannibal brings artists from all over to show off their artwork. The 42st festival in historic downtown Hannibal, will take place October 20 and 21. Come check out unique handmade crafts, arts, music, food, and drinks. There’s plenty to see at THIS LINK.

5) Edgewood Orchards

I made two trips to Edgewood already this season in pursuit of honeycrips apples, saltwater taffy, and of course, SLUSHIES! This weekend, I may try a homemade apple pie (if I get there before they are sold out).

6) Tin Dusters Fall Color Run

This is my favorite weekend in Quincy, when the Tin Dusters roll into downtown Quincy. For over 40 years, the Tin Dusters Fall Color Run have been coming to Quincy. As per tradition, this year's event takes place October 19 - 21, enjoy downtown Quincy as the cars are all lined up along Maine Street.
