Yuengling Will Flow Legally in Illinois in 2025

Mark your calendars beer fans. By the end of January, Yuengling will be available on draft in the Land of Lincoln…(!!!) Then the following weeks will see cases, six packs of cans and bottles popping up around the state.

All of the years of making beer runs to different states, having Yuengling delivered by friends and family who may be visiting or even just driving through states where you could purchase the golden lager from America’s oldest brewery. Those days will come to an end. An era of convenience will begin.

Have you rationed your Yuengling in the past? You aren’t alone. You had to make it last as long as you could, because you weren’t one hundred percent positive on when you would have a chance to get more.

Illinois beer fans that enjoy Yuengling had to drive to Missouri (since 2023), Indiana (2017) or Kentucky (2018) as far as border states go. Texas, Kansas and Oklahoma are the western edge states for Yuengling distribution.

There are several different types of Yuengling to cover the styles of beer you like; the traditional lager, and their “Flight” low calorie-low carb offering have been popular sellers in Missouri. Bonus! Yuengling will make limited releases available as well like Oktoberfest.

BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery.
