If you were to recommend a statue be built in honor of someone in our community, who would you nominate?

There are several beautiful statues in the public spaces around our area. Monuments to John Wood and the Lincoln-Douglas Debate stand in Quincy's Washington Park. In Hannibal, a statue of Mark Twain overlooks the Mississippi from Riverview Park, and the likeness of former U.S. Representative William Henry Hatch stands in Central Park.

Let's say that your city decided to commission a statue in honor of one of its citizens. Who should it be for?
