Something that I am looking forward to in the The Cultural Showcase, which will allow individuals/groups to celebrate their heritage through various forms of creative expression (dance, music, education and art) and cultural cuisine. This will take place all day Saturday and Sunday while the event is going on.

Saturday night there will be am 80's theme rock band out of St. Louis that will be performing at the street concert. Tickets for the concert are only $5. There will be plenty of food and activities for everyone to enjoy.

Another favorite of mine is the "'art for everyone' tent, where even myself who has no artistic talent at all, can create some unique pieces of art. This is for all ages and free to do. There will be drawing, pottery, and a vinyl record art project (which I am so looking forward to doing). This event has really opened the doors for my girls to be creative and express their artistry. I don't know where they get their talent, must have skipped a generation.

For anything related to Q-Fest you can follow them on Facebook and their website.
