Along with the new deaths, officials reported 27 new confirmed cases of coronavirus. They include 14 females age 10 to 60s and 13 males age 20s to 80s.

The health department now reports 1,449 total positive cases in Adams County, with 147 active, 37 hospitalized ranging in age from their teens to their 90s, five in intensive care and now 14 deaths.

The preliminary seven-day positivity rate for cases as a percent of total tests remains high at 11.39%.

Officials say the recent spike in new cases does not appear to have specific links to other known positive cases, pointing to broad community spread of COVID-19.
