It's funny what you can find when you're checking out Instagram. In this case, I found a literal Midwestern castle that features a real working drawbridge, moat and waterfall and I have the pictures to prove it.

Zillow Gone Wild on Instagram is a fun place. Some of the most exotic homes on Earth are featured there and that includes 2009 Victoria HI in Rochester, Michigan. That led me to this wild working castle on Zillow and Realtor. See what it would be like to rule over your fellow Midwestern peasants here.

This Midwestern Castle Has a Drawbridge, Moat and Waterfall

According to Realtor, this is a 5-bedroom, 5 1/2-bathroom...castle with a current asking price of $2,299,000. Here are some details from the listing:

Medieval castle on 6 acres surrounded by a wrought iron fence and two gated towers. The frame is built with 60 tons of steel and construction took over 6 years utilizing artisans from all over the world. The castle is 60 feet tall, or taller than a 4 story building. It features a moat, waterfall, drawbridge, portcullis, 26 rooms, elevator, 5 fireplaces, 6 new furnaces, 6 new A/C units, secret rooms, hidden doors, hidden passageways, hidden staircase, wine cellar, Tudor style pub, and a few more surprises.

It makes me wish I had archer friends who I could position on the roof to dissuade any potential salesmen from interrupting my meals.  I'm not saying I'd order boiling oil to be dumped on anyone, but it's nice to know it's an option. JK.
