The Signs Are Posted For A Reason

I don't like to complain, but the no smoking signs are there for a reason.

I was pumping gas at a station when there appeared to by a gas pump malfunction at the next island down from me.  The pump was spewing fuel all over, every time the person at the pump on the other side of the same island squeezed their pump handle.

Fortunately, people realized the situation and were able to get the pump shut down, before things took a turn for the worse.

I know that common sense should tell you otherwise however, we've all seen someone smoking while pumping gas.

The incident I witnessed, was a good reminder of how deadly things could have been if there had been that one little spark.
