When you see Salvation Army volunteers ringing bells in Quincy next week, don't wipe your eyes.  You aren't hallucinating and it isn't Christmas.  Oh, and they don't want your money.  The Salvation Army is beginning a new approach called "We need your time, not your dime" campaign July 24th through 26th.

Bell ringers will have the red kettles at both County Market locations (Broadway and 24th Street), Walmart and Farm & Home Supply.  When you walk by, don't worry about dropping in money.  Instead, drop in your business card if you're interested in being a bell ringer later this year.  If you're like me and don't have a business card (what would a DJ business card look like anyway?), they can record your contact information at the kettle locations.

For more information, you can visit the Ring Bells website or call Alisa Elkins at 217-231-5633.
