The concept behind Missouri Startup Weekend is to get those with ideas in front of those who could help facilitate seeing that idea come to life.

The weekend event starts with 1 minute idea presentations on Friday. Gather your thoughts, harness your courage and make your pitch. --That’s just the beginning though.

On Saturday you’ll have mentor sessions and workshops with pros who have been where you are and made it work. VC’s (venture capital), Legal experts, marketers and other entrepreneurs to help light the way, provide constructive criticism and insight. These people know the path and the pitfalls getting you from fresh idea to market.

Sunday it’s time to bring forth what they’ve been building over the weekend. Judges will decide who lands prize money totaling $45,000. Plus, if your idea and its progress show promise an investment from Redbud VC and more could be had.

Ideas spark the building of the future. Missouri Startup Weekend is primarily for tech ideas, but any idea that has financial possibilities is welcome, and the networking at this event and exercise is next level.
