A list has come out from a website called zippia.com that ranks the top 10 highest paying jobs in the state of Illinois and let me just say apparently it pays to be in the medical field. The list says that they get their information from something called the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and this isn't the first year they have ranked the highest paying jobs in Illinois. So what does the list look like? Well according to the article the highest paying job in Illinois are...

Surgeons, followed by Anesthesiologists, Obstetricians & Gynecologists, Psychiatrists, Physicians, Chief Executives (first non-medical job), Pediatricians, Family Medicine Physicians, General Internal Medicine Physicians, and coming in at 10th is Airline Pilots.

The article goes on to say that the 11th ranked highest-paying job in Illinois is a dentist and that all of this data was from early 2021. To see the article and list for yourself just click here! 

I think it is just crazy to see that 8 of the top 10 (and if you include dentist 9 of the top 11) highest paying jobs in the Land of Lincoln are connected to the medical field. It just goes to show all you young kids out there, if you are willing to go through the extra years of school, and take on more debt in the process, you could be rewarded very well once you land the job in the medical field you want.
