The Midwest has barely had a chance to catch its collective breath after supercells dropped over 100 tornadoes over Missouri, Arkansas, Illinois and Iowa. Now, there's another warning that Tuesday, April 4 could be another day of dangerous storms and this time all of Missouri is in the warning area.

One of the more famous storm chasers is near Hannibal, Missouri right now. Reed Timmer and his team are chasing tornadic storms that are moving through the tri-state area today.

Plan on very changeable and possibly severe thunderstorms on Friday as both Missouri and Illinois are in the danger zone for what is expected to be a fast-moving system capable of producing tornadoes and severe wind events.

If you don't have an umbrella handy, might want to get one. The weather nerds are saying there's a real good chance it will rain hard on parts of Missouri and Illinois beginning Thursday night.

It has been a stormy past couple of days in the Midwest with numerous wind events and even some tornadoes being reported. That continued Monday morning when video of a twister was shared as it churned through a field near Champaign, Illinois.

It would be a good idea to keep an eye on the weather the week of December 12 as a monster system is expected to bring tornadoes to parts of Missouri and Illinois.

It's no secret that the storm that rolled through the tri-state area last Sunday was a wild one. There's new video shared from that storm showing a wild lightning display captured from Liberty, Illinois.

The thunderstorms that went through Missouri and Illinois recently were about as intense as they come. Several tornadoes and tons of lightning were present in those storm systems. One trail cam in Missouri was able to capture crazy lightning thanks to a military-grade night vision camera.

I see strange statistics all the time and most of the time there's a rhyme and reason for them. In this case, I'm mystified why Missouri is a top 10 state for lightning fatalities. What gives?
