I wouldn't lose any sleep over this if I were you (yet), but Illinois is being warned to brace itself for a major winter storm that is allegedly coming for one specific week in January of 2025.
It's almost like a game show in Missouri. It's the guessing game where everybody makes a prediction about when the state will get its first real snowfall. Farmer's Almanac thinks it knows the answer about whether or not Missouri will get that snow on or before Thanksgiving in their brand new outlook.
Something has changed over the span of a couple weeks. Unless my memory has failed me, Illinois was included in an area Farmer's Almanac said that along with Missouri was in for a more or less ordinary winter. Now, the Land of Lincoln has a forecast described as a 'wet winter whirlwind'.
What else would you expect really? It's not like Illinois isn't accustomed to winters with a lot of snow and cold conditions, but the new Farmer's Almanac prediction says the upcoming winter will be brutal for Illinois in particular.
I am not a fan of winter and find it hard to even look at my snow shovel. I might need to change my attitude if Farmer's Almanac is right about Missouri's upcoming winter season. They say there are red flags of trouble everywhere.
I will warn you now that you're likely to be in a state of disbelief about what has just been predicted for Wisconsin especially considering it's still August as of now. Farmer's Almanac has just predicted snow for the state and not a tiny amount either.
