Clowns

Do you love squirrels? What about clowns? If you love both, this will be great news for you. If not, you can watch a squirrel make all of your clown nightmares come true.

Not sure why, but creepy clowns entered my mind again. Out of that wondering, I decided to find out when that phenomenon began. I learned it had its beginnings 41 years ago in Missouri.

When you think of clowns, the hope is that you'll associate that with laughter and happiness. In the case of the Illinois clown graveyard, the opposite is true. It's the story of a tragedy that took the lives of 86 entertainers late at night on June 22, 1918.

The creepy clown story we shared on Sunday night was weird enough. Now it's downright frightening.

I have never completely understood the fear of clowns. (Coulrophobia for you future Jeopardy contestants)  Personally, I have a fear of trying to spell that word.  My oldest son, Brandon, would never admit it now but he used to be terrified of clowns.  That's why I would often find clown puppets to hide in his crib.  Wonder why I never won father of the year?
