The employees of Sunset Home are always doing great things for their residents and for the community.

I had the privilege recently to participate in one of their fundraisers - The Wheelchair Races. My partner sat in a wheelchair while I pushed her...blindfolded. For our first time doing this we didn't to too badly. We came in 5th out of 18 teams.

I bring this up because I just received notice regarding the fruits of another fundraising effort by the Sunset Home employees. Sunset Home raised $5,119.00 and recently presented a check to Cheryl Waterman, Executive Director of the United Way of Adams County, Inc. and Jerry Jackson, Campaign Chair on behalf of its employees.  Sunset Home also awarded prizes to its staff for their participation in the fundraising event.

Cheryl Waterman stated, “The staff and leadership of Sunset Home should be congratulated for their great community spirit. In their first United Way employee campaign they modeled all the qualities of a leadership company and achieved great results that will make a big difference in our community.”

The United Way advances the common good by creating opportunities for a better life for all.   Sunset Home’s Administrator Jerry Neal said, “Sunset Home employees are committed to supporting our community and we are very proud to partner with the United Way of Adams County.”
