The lawsuit filed by the mother of a Quincy Public School student to stop the district’s face covering requirement for students has been dismissed.

Judge Roger Thomson ruled Thursday the school district has the authority to take students’ temperatures before they get on a school bus or enter a school building, and to require students to wear masks in school.

Thomson granted the motion to dismiss the suit without prejudice, which means the attorney for parent Roni Quinn can file an amended suit with 21 days.
