If ever you lament that South Park occupies a brief window of Comedy Central each year, you’re in for a surprise. Stan, Kyle, Cartman, Kenny and the rest will take over the network this year with an eight-day marathon of almost every episode, leading right into the Season 21 premiere.

Comedy Central confirms that Wednesday, September 6 will kick off a 254-episode marathon celebrating Season 21, which itself will premiere on Wednesday, September 13 at 10:00 P.M. The episodes will air all day with the exception of Trevor Noah’s The Daily Show airing in its regularly-scheduled 11:00 P.M. slot.

Notably, there are 277 listed episodes of South Park overall, so it remains unclear exactly which episodes will sit out the marathon, and why. It also doesn’t include the 1999 South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut film, which premiered during the show’s third season.

Elsewhere of Season 21 (which was originally intended to premiere today, August 23), creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone want to get back to basics with less emphasis on political commentary, especially at the rate news cycles change these days. South Park is also renewed through 2019, with no end in sight.

Stay tuned for more on South Park Season 21 as we get closer to the September premiere.
