There's no easy way to say this, so I'm just gonna say it. I have video of a possum that was seen in Missouri doing donuts. I'm guessing you're going to need an explanation. I'll try.

I love the Missouri page on Reddit. It's a source of nearly endless entertainment. Don't believe me? Then you need to see this video brilliance.

Why was the possum doing donuts? I have no idea. But, the comments on Reddit asked some very important questions. Here are a few favorites:

CarrFromKC - Umm are we sure little buddy isn't rabid?

EMPulseKC - Sometimes opossums and other animals will do this if they've picked up a strong scent of food in that spot, but can't find it. They'll keep circling until it either turns up, or they get bored of looking and move on.

WDW80 - I was biking on the MKT trail once and passed an opossum that was doing this same thing. Walking around in circles and it was also making noises - growling is the only way I can describe it. I was a little nervous passing it as I've heard they can be aggressive. However, it didn't even pause, look up, break movement once as I biked by. It was right in the middle of the trail so I had to go off to the side. It was weird, I wonder why they do this?

There were a surprising amount of helpful ideas including one person who mentioned the possum might have inner ear vestibular syndrome. Interesting.

If nothing else, it's a Missouri possum doing donuts and that's enough for me.
